“TEE IT UP FOR CHILDREN'S“ is a charity event initially organized by Ben’s family to honor his memory and to help other children. Ben, the son of Myra Hocutt and Brad Hocutt, was cared for in Children’s Hospital after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor at the
age of 9 years old.
Ben faced his illness with great courage and faith in God, and was awarded the Badge of Courage by his Boy Scouts troop.
He loved baseball and was on the Hoover All-Stars team and the Pelham Championship team.
He was a cheerful little guy and wanted to be remembered as making people happy.
This charity event in Ben’s memory was organized to help children and their families during difficult times, and hopefully will allow children facing serious illnesses to share a moment of happiness, from Ben”, stated Myra Hocutt, Ben’s mother.
